Vitality’s Star Awards are a form of recognition where employees are recognized and nominated by their peers for their hard work, dedication, loyalty and adherence to our Core Values. Nominees have demonstrated outstanding performance and go above and beyond to support their colleagues and the business. Each quarter, Vitality’s Executive Committee selects the Star Award winners, who are announced at regular business update meetings. Of the quarterly Star Award winners, a few individuals are selected for the grand prize – an international trip with fellow Star Award winners from across our business.
This year’s Star Award trip took our winners to Greece for the trip of a lifetime! Hear what our winners had to say about their experience:
I’m Ashleigh and I work on the Marketing team, overseeing member and client communications. I’ll be forever grateful for Vitality awarding me this trip of a lifetime – it was the most incredible week soaking up the sun, history and the endless tzatziki and feta Athens and Rhodes had to offer with new friends from our Discovery and Vitality UK offices. The whole week I was in awe at all of the thought, attention to detail and love the planning team put into every detail of the trip – they did an outstanding job making all of us feel like stars and highlighting the core values that we all stand by across the globe.

I’m Andrew Barr, and I work on the Product Owner team at Vitality where we define new requirements for our products and work with our development squads to prioritize, schedule, and implement those changes. I feel very honored and blessed to have been given the opportunity to attend the Star Award trip last month. It was an incredible experience to visit Greece, learn about its great history, and try all of its amazing food. My favorite parts of the trip were the magical dinner parties organized by our hosts, walking around the medieval Old Town in Rhodes, and getting to know all of my wonderful coworkers from across the world. Thank you to everyone involved in creating such an unforgettable trip!

I’m Ro and I work on the TS Infrastructure team. I’m responsible for maintaining the different systems across Vitality’s network. Words cannot express how grateful I am for being selected as one of the Star Award winners. This opportunity was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The dinners and dances with everyone from Discovery and Vitality was my highlight of the trip. I had the chance to finally meet some of the people from Discovery that I work with on a regular basis. Indulging in the local cuisine was an amazing experience. Gyro sandwiches will never taste the same! The trip to Greece was an unforgettable adventure filled with amazing food, beautiful sights, dancing late into the night, and belly laughs shared with new friends.
