Vitality Appoints Distinguished Health Plan Executive Steve Margolis as President

Margolis joins newly appointed Chief Product Officer Kristin Rodriguez to Executive Team

CHICAGO – February 8, 2024 – Vitality Group, a global health and wellbeing company specializing in behavior change, announced the appointment of senior health plan strategist Steve Margolis to its executive staff as President to accelerate and grow its foothold in the market.

Margolis is a C-suite executive with over 30 years of experience running, building, and growing healthcare services organizations at both national for-profit and regional not-for-profit health plans, health tech companies and population health organizations.

In his role at Vitality, Margolis will help define, shape and execute Vitality’s strategic initiatives, brand recognition, product evolution and profitability objectives. In addition, he will identify growth opportunities in new markets, with existing customers and through future partnerships.

“The healthcare sector is complex and continually changing not only for members, patients and employers, but also for the benefit administrators, health plans, and providers that support them,” said Margolis. “As President, I look forward to working closely with the executive team in defining and expanding our offerings across the employer market and the healthcare ecosystem to include commercial and government programs such as the ACA, Medicare and Medicaid and to improve members’ health and wellbeing while helping to control costs.”

Margolis was most recently a Managing Director for Deloitte Consulting LLP in the Health Care Practice where he specialized in strategic, operational and technology transformations for both health plans and integrated delivery systems. He also served in senior leadership and C-suite roles for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Healthways (acquired by Sharecare) and UnitedHealthGroup.

Last month Vitality announced the appointment of Kristin Rodriguez as Chief Product Officer, in which she is responsible for shaping and maintaining the organization’s portfolio strategy to create long-lasting growth and maximum customer success.
