We’re looking for a qualified Project Manager to join Vitality’s Project Management Office in a role dedicated to the management and implementation of strategic software product launch initiatives. This position will be located in Downtown Chicago, IL. *Temporarily remote*
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:
- Responsible for developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Responsible for creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Responsible for developing and controlling deadlines, budgets, and activities
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Responsible for tracking and reporting project effort and expenses
- Holding regular status meetings with project teams
- Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Managing complexity and ambiguity comfortably and providing guiding leadership
- Effectively applying PM methodology and enforcing project standards
- Responsible for minimizing exposure and risk on project
- Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion
- Understanding how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Responsible for delivering engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
- Ability and willingness to perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Required:
- Three years of proven experience managing enterprise projects and performing risk management and all Project Manager responsibilities and functions for software project implementations
Experience:
- Experience with Mobile product development highly desirable
- Experience working within Agile software development methodology
- Wellness or insurance industry or related experience is desired
- Excellent communication and consensus building expertise
Knowledge:
- Ability to work in a globally distributed multi-team environment
- Management of multiple external client stakeholders, including product design and vendor partners, highly desirable
- PMI or other project certifications highly desired
